True to the vibe of the song, Gym Class Heroes and Onerepublic’s Ryan Tedder have teamed up to create one truly inspirational music video for their song “Fighter”.  Much of that inspiration comes courtesy of  the actual inspiring story of John Orozco.  John is a gymnast that is an Olympic hopeful.  Gym Class Heroes asked Orozco to appear in their video after reading about how overcame the struggles of growing up  in Bronx New York.

NBC reports that in 2005 Orozco and his brothers were accosted by a gang the day before he was suppose to compete in his first national championship.  During the encounter, he was thrown under a car fracturing his wrist.  Against the odds, Orozco decided to compete anyway.  Since then he has used the incident as a source of inspiration to drive him to work harder and eventually become a contender for this years Olympic Games.

Touched by his remarkable story, Gym Class Heroes decided to use their music video for “Fighter” as a platform to document  Orozco’s journey of prepping for, and then heading off to the 2012 Olympic Games.  We applaud them for doing it.  It was a fantastic idea that made for a very moving video.  It is not to be missed.  Check it out below.
