G.R.L. TODAY RELEASES BRAND NEW SINGLE “UGLY HEART” ON THE HEELS OF MASSIVE RADIO DOMINATION AS THE FEATURED ARTIST ON PITBULL’S “WILD WILD LOVE”
(New York – June 3, 2014) Described by People Magazine as “the sexy new girl-group,” rising stars G.R.L. step out again on their own today with the release of their soon-to-be-smash hit “Ugly Heart,” following the blockbuster success in their co-starring role on “Wild Wild Love” with Pitbull, a song that is still ruling the airwaves. G.R.L. recently performed with Pitbull on the iHeart Radio Awards, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Today Show.
Their new single “Ugly Heart” available today at all digital retailers is produced by hit makers Dr. Luke and Cirkut, much of the same team who is working in the studio on G.R.L.’s debut album for Dr. Luke’s record label Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. “Ugly Heart” was written by Ryan Baharloo, Ester Dean, Lukasz Gottwald, John Charles Monds and Henry Walter.
Idolator raves about “Ugly Heart” calling it “brilliant” and declares “the brightest new girl band in pop could have their own breakout hit in the not-too-distant future with this irresistible anthem.” Time Magazine concurs: “the rising girl group go for the jugular with a stampeding new single” and Perez Hilton calls the track “Awesome” and writes “It’s official. We love lovelove G.R.L.!”
G.R.L. is primed to be the next big girl group. From the Supremes to the Spice Girls to TLC to Destiny’s Child, music history has proven that the charts will welcome the arrival of talented, confident, and vibrant women time and again. With their fun-loving, irreverent debut “Vacation,” on international sensation Pitbull’s smash hit “Wild Wild Love,” and now with “Ugly Heart,” G.R.L. has announced themselves as a major contender for pop chart domination.
G.R.L. is Simone Battle, Lauren Bennett, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula Van Oppen.
