Endlessly Follows 2008 Landmark debut ROCKFERRY – 6.5 million worldwide sales – containing global hits “Mercy,” “Warwick Avenue,” and “Stepping Stone”

(October 7, 2010 – New York City) Nearly two years after she first emerged to electrify the world with her multi-platinum, critically acclaimed debut album Rockferry, Duffy has returned with her second album Endlessly which is scheduled to be released on December 7th, it was announced today by her label, Mercury Records.  Endlessly which was recorded in New York, London and Spain represents the next chapter of an already astounding career.  The CD was co-written and co-produced by Duffy and acclaimed songwriter/ producer Albert Hammond.  Endlessly follows Duffy’s debut CD Rockferry which was the 4th best selling worldwide album in 2008 and included back-to-back hit singles “Mercy,” “Warwick Avenue” and “Stepping Stone”. Rockferry sold 6.5 million copies.

Preceding the album is the catchy lead single, “Well, Well, Well” which includes Duffy’s New York-based musical collaborators – fellow Def Jam artists the Roots – and will launch at radio today, October 7th at Hot AC and Triple A radio. Other song titles from Endlessly include “My Boy,” “Don’t Forsake Me,” “Love Struck,” “Breath Away” and the title tune, “Endlessly.”  Songwriter Hall Of Fame inductee Albert Hammond’s  legendary career spans four decades and includes such memorable signature hits as  “It Never Rains in Southern California,” “When I Need You,”  “The Air That I Breathe,” “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” and “To All The Girls I Loved Before.”

Duffy’s meteoric arrival on the pop scene in early 2008 took the world by storm.  In March of that year, she became one of only nine solo female superstars in UK chart history to hold the #1 spot on the singles and albums charts simultaneously, with “Mercy” and Rockferry.  That same month she came to the U.S. for her premiere performance at SXSW Conference in Texas which was followed by her first festival appearance at Coachella.  The night before Rockferry’s official U.S. release, Duffy headlined the famed Apollo Theatre in Harlem.  With several TV appearances including Saturday Night Live, Rockferry promptly debuted in the Top 5 in Soundscan and was certified gold by RIAA in less than two months.  Her smash single “Mercy” was heard everywhere, from the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy to episodes including ER, The Ghost Whisperer and The Hills, and promo spots for Entourage and  Damages.

By year’s end, the awards began to pour in – Breakthrough Act Of the Year at the Q magazine awards; and Song Of the Year (“Mercy”) at the MOJO Awards.  In 2009, Duffy won an Ivor Novello Award for songwriting, three BRIT Awards and a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
