Disney’s “Aladdin” Cast Reunite To Perform “A Whole New World”

Well you’re in luck, because Disney is releasing their 31st animatic feature, Aladdin on Blu Ray for the first time. This version of the release has extra bonus material featuring the late Robin Williams who famously played the Genie in the film. You will see alternate cuts of scenes, full of adlibs, outtakes and celebrity impersonations that were recorded by Williams for the character but never used.
The cast and crew of Aladdin reunited on ABC’s Good Morning America last week to reminisce about Williams’ performance. In that interview, Aladdin composer Alan Menken remembered how hard Robin worked in the recording session to get the jazzy feel of the Gene’s song “Friend Like Me” down correctly.
