Hip Hop Mogul Damon Dash is suing The Butler director Lee Daniels. TMZ reports that the Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder is apparently going after Daniels for reneging on an investment deal that, according to Dash, had him offer up large amounts of money for several of Daniels’ now acclaimed films. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Dash claims that he gave Daniels $2 million for his The Woodsman film back in 2004. He didn’t receive executive producer credit, producer credit, or get paid back for his investment.
Despite that large lack of payment, TMZ goes on to report that Dash made similar investment deals with Daniels for other movies. Those titles include Precious, The Paper Boy, and The Butler. Dash is asking for $25 million.
