We’d like to say congratulations to The Voice host Carson Daly. NBC has announced that Daly will be joining the “Today” Show on Monday as the host in charge of the show’s Orange Room, which is dedicated to social media and interactive exploration of news stories. In addition to his hosting duties at The Voice Carson has become known for being the host of NBC’s New Years Eve With Carson Daly, and has been hosting his own 97.1 AMP Radio show since 2009.

Carson Daly began his relationship with NBC when he started  hosting one of our favorite shows on the network, Last Call With Carson Daly in 2002. In addition to being one of the most musically oriented shows on the network, promoting Clizbeats favorites like Robin Thicke, Asher Roth, and ZZ Ward, Daly was able to use Last Call as a transitional stepping-stone from his celebrated, career establishing work as host of MTV’s popular music video countdown show, TRL (Total Request Live). Since dong so, he’s maintained a  a network TV career that has lasted over a decade.  His addition to NBC and now “Today” is significant, because working at MTV made him a leader in the worlds of music and pop culture. Through TRL, he helped introduce music fans to established music stars like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, *N Sync, Eminem, and many others. Prior to hosting TRL, Carson made a career as a California radio air personality. He began his radio career at LA’s KCMJFM as Jimmy Kimmel’s intern. Following his internship, Daly later went on to become an air personality at LA’s famed KROQFM, K-Rock.

“Everything I’ve done in my career up until this point has trained me for TODAY – the interviews, the live TV, the live radio – it all gets paid off,” Carson said. “I was playing in the minor leagues and now I’ve just been called up to the big leagues. It’s amazing that I get to be a small part of the new era and generation of TODAY– not just to be here, but to be here to help build the future of TODAY and serve as the bridge between viewers and the show.”

We are, and have been fans of his for years. We’re excited for him. For more on his involvement in the network Click here!Congrats Carson!
