On this past Wednesday when the whole world was busy watching President Obama be re-elected for a second term in office, Craig and Matt Clizbe of Clizbeats were busy hanging out at World Café Live in Philadelphia to watch a night of great music. The evening of music was centered around two artists that were profiled in Clizbeats’, Indie Artist Spotlight not too long ago. The music started with Philly R&B singer, Taragirl setting the mood for an evening of soulful sounds, as she opened for Blues/Hip Hop/Soul singer/song writer ZZ Ward. Clizbeats fans may remember that ZZ Ward was featured in the September 2011 edition of the Spotlight, now she is the next big thing on Hollywood Records! On Wednesday Craig and Matt were lucky enough to sit down with ZZ again to update the story they began telling back in 2011.

They talked about ZZ’s first major label album, Til The Casket Drops, which was recently released last month, as well as her development as a Blues artist with a Hip Hop/Soul swagger on her mixtapes that were released before that.
