After arriving on the mainstream music scene in 2010, Pop sensation Bruno Mars has been able to use his multitude of musical abilities to ride the success of his acclaimed debut album, Doo Wop And Hooligans to the heights of stardom. With quality in the forefront from then on, everything Project to carry his name also carried a very poignant amount of prestige with it. Naturally after 112 nominations, and 26 awards won in his short 27 years of life, with only one official album under his belt, fans have learned to expect that same kind of prestige and music industry prioritizing for the high profile release of his second album, Unorthodox Jukebox.
After the albums first single “Locked Out Of Heaven” was released via an exclusive Billboard Magazine premiere only a matter of days ago, Mars n’ camp have now released the song’s artsy, and seemingly intentionally retro music video. In the clip, Mars and his band keep it simple. They had footage shot of a hard and passionate performance of his rockin new single, in a grainy and home grown and rectro fashion. Swag was then added in post to accentuate the grain oriented artistic choice , as when blurriness and a natural but stylish editing style was applied. This kid continues to impress, and simply be one of the best. Check his video out for yourself below and see if you agree.
To help promote his highly buzzed about sophomore release, Mars is all set to perform double duty as musical guest and host of NBC’s Saturday Night Live this coming weekend. Unorthodox Jukebox is currently set with a December 12th release date. We’ll do our best to keep you posted on future details. Cheers Mr. Mars. Our hat is off to you.
