Bruce Springsteen’s Son Sam Joins NJ Fire Dept

Congratulations are in order for Bruce Springsteen’s youngest song Sam. The Boss’ wife Patti Scialfa took to Instagram to announce that the Springsteen family attended Monmouth County Fire Academy’s graduation in Howell, NJ in his honor on the 15h.
“My youngest son, Sam, graduated from Monmouth County Fire Academy tonight,” she wrote, adding the hashtags #Proud and #OurFamilyHero.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the course covers 188 hours of rescue. Classes 100 and 101 officially completed their training in areas that include rescue, fire extinguishment, hazmat and CPR with graduation. This news is quite fitting for the Springsteen family. Bruce has made a career out of singing about the blue collar New Jersey workers doing honest work that deserves to be spotlighted. He even took that respect a step further for firemen when he released “The Rising” in 2002 in honor of 9/11’s first responders. Who knows, maybe Sam’s achievement will inspire some new songs!
Cheers to you Sam. Congrats!
