(Feb. 13, 2017 – New York, NY) Multi-platinum, Grammy®-nominated, G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam recording artist Big Sean debuts at #1 this week with I DECIDED. (released February 3rd), on first weeks sales and streams of 150,000 plus copies, his fifth career album and second consecutive #1 Billboard 200 album chart entry, following the critically acclaimed RIAA platinum Dark Sky Paradise (February 2015).
I DECIDED. explodes at #1 on the momentum of the two pre-order instant grat tracks that turned into smash singles, “Bounce Back” (RIAA gold with combined global streaming over 150 million), and “Moves” (combined global streaming over 50 million). The Kid Studio-directed video for “Bounce Back” has netted over 41 million YouTube views. View it above.
Leading up to the arrival of I DECIDED., Big Sean made debut live performances on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and NBC Universal’s Ellen, and made a return performance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (where “Bounce Back” made its debut live performance in Oct 2016). Sean was interviewed on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, where it was revealed that the Sean Anderson Foundation had raised over $100,000 to aid residents suffering from the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.
On March 17th, Big Sean opens a massive 5-week North American tour at Revention Music Center in Houston. The 21-city tour of the U.S. and Canada, stopping at such prestigious venues as the Hollywood Palladium, Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom, Detroit’s Fox Theatre, and Radio City in New York, wraps up on April 20th at the Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach. (Please see complete tour dates below.) This marks Sean’s first major North American tour since he joined with fellow Def Jam MC’s YG and Jeremih on J. Cole’s historic 27-city mini-festival Forest Hills Drive Tour in July-August 2015.
