Away from Bieber Scooter is also the promotional force behind Canadian Pop star, Carly Rae Jepsen.  After being introduced to her song “Call Me Maybe” by Justin Bieber, Scooter quickly signed Carly to his School Boy Records, and then partnered up with Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope Records to distribute the project. In the United States Bieber and Scooter’s push allowed “Call Me Maybe” to reach even bigger heights than it previously achieved on the Canadian charts. The song reached number one on the week of June 23, 2012. The song currently is in its eighth consecutive week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, for the week ending August 11, 2012. This gives Carly the longest running number one in The United States for this year.  “Call Me Maybe”also makes her the first Canadian female artist to have a number one on Billboard Hot 100 in five years since Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend”.(May 2007) The song is only the fourth song that was seven weeks at number one by an artist from Canada tied with “Sh-Boom” by The Crew-Cuts, “Informer” by Snow featuring MC Shan, and “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” by Bryan Adams.

The third group of Scooter’s that is currently blazing up the charts is UK boy band, The Wanted. American audiences were first introduced to these guys with the Steve Mac/Christopher Hines produced single, “Glad You Came.”  The song has became their first to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, so far peaking at number three after it was featured on the Fox’s series Glee, and becoming the highest American chart entry by a British boy band, surpassing Take That who peaked at number seven with “Back for Good” in November 1995. As of July 2012, the song has sold over 3 million copies in the United States.  The Wanted’s current American single is “Chasing The Sun”, which was featured in the Blue Sky/20th Century Fox film, Ice Age: Continental Drift
