Beyonce’s “Love On Top” Helps Set Twitter Record!

As usual MTV’s VMA’s Video music awards became the place for big events and announcements for the mainstream music industry.  Well it is now official.  Based on sheer numbers alone, the biggest announcement of that night was that of Beyonce and Jay-Z becoming expected parents.  Twitter’s official global PR feed, Twitter Comms @TwitterGlobalPR tweeted Monday that the baby news broke a site record at 10:35 PM EST, with 8,868 tweets.  As many already know, Beyonce made the announcement on MTV’s red carpet for the VMA’s, and confirmed it that much more during a fantastic performance of her latest single “Love On Top”.

Written by Knowles, Terius “The Dream”Nash and Shea Taylor, Knowles reprtedly credits much of the song’s inspiration to the “passion, honesty, and {vocal} approach of Etta James. “Love On Top” follows the Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds co-written track”Best Thing I Never Had”. Serving as the 3rd single from her album, 4. “Love On Top” has become the critical darling for fans, and a welcomed surprise to music lovers that my not necessarily be fans of the signature style that she has become known for.  Composed with the soul of classic R&B,in its essence “Love On Top”  is sure to be a hit of a whole new nature for her.   Below is a viral video clip of her famous performance from Sunday’s VMA’s  Take a moment to check it out below.
