Beastie Boys Finally Ready For “Hot Sauce Committee Part Two”

Legendary New York Hip Hop group, Beastie Boys are back with the upcoming release of their eighth studio album, “Hot Sauce Hot Sauce Committee Part Two”. It is the group’s first album since 2007’s Grammy Award winning, instrumental album, The Mix-Up, and the first with vocals since 2004’s To The 5 Boroughs . The album was originally due for release in September, but was delayed due to group member Adam “MCA”Yauch was diagnosed with Cancer.
The Beastie’s began promotional work with the album originally in July, 2009 with the Grammy Nominated single, “Too Many Rappers” featuring Nas. “Too Many Rappers” marked the group’s first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2004’s “Ch-Check It Out.” The album title was changed from Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 1 to Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2. It will included a slightly altered track list and also include “Too Many Rappers.”
Other than Nas, it is confirmed that Santogold will also appear as a guest on the song “Don’t Play No Game I Can’t Win.” A commentary track included with the Check Your Head re-release mentions that Bob Dylan will also appear on the album “Hot Sauce”was entirely produced by the Beastie Boys. When discussing the creation of the album, MCA had this to say.
“It’s a combination of playing and sampling stuff as we’re playing, and also sampling pretty obscure records. There are a lot of songs on the record and there are a lot of short songs and they kind of all run into each other.
Promotion for the album started back up in April of 2011 when the group released the single, “Make Some Noise” The group released a standard length music video for the song. A different, promotional version was previewed online. for a 30-minute long version. The two shorter versions of the video feature many A-list actors and comedians in both leading and cameo roles. Among the performers are: Johnny Knoxville, Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Rashida Jones, Will Arnett, Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler, Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Chloe Sevigny, Will Ferrell, David Cross, Ted Danson, Jack Black, Steve Buscemi, Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon, Neil Patrick Harris,Meat Loaf, Orlando Bloom, Rainn Wilson, and John C. Reilly.
The album is able to be streamed for free on beastieboys.com! The album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two will finally be released on May 3, 2011 by Capitol Records!
