Backstreet Boys Animated In "Its Christmas Time Again" Music Video
The Backstreet Boys are getting animated in their new holiday themed music video for their new song, “It’s Christmas Time Again.” The song that was originally the brain child of Nick Carter and Howie Dorough, is the band’s first new recording together released since reuniting with Kevin Richardson recently. Howie and Nick became inspired to get into the holiday spirit after the Boys were asked to participate in Disney’s upcoming Christmas special, scheduled to air on Christmas weekend. The song came together very quickly after Nick and Howie teamed with Mika Guillory and Morgan Taylor Reid to write the music and present it to the rest of the group. The song was met with over whelming response from fans after it was put on sale digitally earlier this month. The guys then performed the song live on national television for the first time on the CBS day time show, The Talk yesterday.
Now today the live performance has been followed by the music video! The guys teamed up with Artistdirect.com to help premiere this animated clip that looks like it came from the illustrations of your favorite holiday story book!
” It’s Christmas time Again” is the first holiday song from the Backstreet Boys to be officially released in 12 years. Their first holiday track was the similarly titled, “Christmas Time”, and was featured on the BMG holiday compilation, Platinum Christmas in 2000. “Christmas Time” has become a holiday classic since then, and is sure to be heard playing in shopping malls around the country in December. The Boys have always talked about the idea of possibly releasing a full length Christmas album over the years, is this a sign of things to come? Only time will tell!
