Atlantic Records Head Talks New Music From Cee Lo Green

Following the release of controversial tweets that seemed to center around venting about his sex abuse case from nearly a year ago, rapper/singer Cee Lo Green has dialed things back, keeping a low profile. However, recent Billboard reports indicate that despite his personal troubles, he’s been hard at work on new music, and it should be out by the end of the year.  In a recent interview with Billboard, Atlantic Records CEO/-Co Chairman Craig Kallman revealed that a new album called  Heart Blanche, is expected out during the fourth quarter of 2015.

Kallman said, “We’ve got a big, big list of songs that we’ve been going through, and we’re kind of mixing the final songs now. We’re going to be imminently figuring out his marketing plan and single release schedule, and we’re looking at the fourth quarter.”

It’s important to note that in addition to running Atlantic as CEO, Craig has often taken on the role of guiding the creative process for several artists on his label as either producer or executive producer of various projects over the years. This was the case for Cee Lo  in 2010, when he helped him hone his talents into pop success with the “Forget You” lead The Lady Killer album.  Perhaps his comments mean he’ll be hands on with Cee Lo yet again?  We’ll keep you posted as we learn details.
