In Real Life is an American boy band that is composed of Sergio Calderon, Michael Conor, Chance Perez, Andrew Ramos and Brady Tutton. They all come from different backgrounds, but they share a common gift of musical ability. The five guys came together with the help of America’s votes during their time on ABC’s 2017 summer reality competition, Boy Band.
The show that premiered June 22, 2017 on ABC was hosted by British Pop star/actress, Rita Ora, and featured the band’s “architects” Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, the Spice Girls’ Emma Bunton, and Timbaland.
The 10-episode season began with 30 young male vocalists competing to become a member of the new five-piece boy band that became In Real Life. Each week, the boys would rotate into different groups and perform, at the end, the “architects” would put either two or three boys up for elimination and through live voting, a boy would be saved by America. At the end of the season, the final five remaining boys would form the boy band and receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records
