It was a milestone for the syndicated game show classic Jeopardy last night. While announcing the “Double Jeopardy” round category called “It’s A Rap”, the show’s normally buttoned down host Alex Trebek, was required to bust rhymes from legendary MCs like Grand Master Flash, Dr. Dre, Notorious B.I.G, and Public Enemy. The questions seemed kind of easy for anyone that keeps up with any of the basics of hip hop, but hearing Trebek say “In ‘Nuthin’ But a G Thang,’ this ‘doctor’ rapped, ‘Never let me slip, ’cause if I slip, then I’m slippin’” was priceless.
By the way, Mr. Trebek is 73 years old. As far as we’re concerned, he gets props for just knowing who those rappers are. That said, watching him announce that category is a must see. Check it out below.
