A Second Look At Adeles Acceptance Speech For Best Song
A tip of our hat to goes to the lovely Adele. Her and the title track to the latest James Bond Flick “Skyfall” won best song at last night’s Golden Globe Awards. Always gracious, Adele seemed to be more surprised than anyone about her achievement last night. She treated her Golden Globe visit to the Beverly Hilton Hotel as a night out for her and her girlfriend because they are both new moms. “I was not expecting this,” Adele said in her acceptance speech. “Thank you for letting me be part of your world.”
After its release in October “Skyfall” grew in popularity to become the first Adele song to debut in the top 10 on the Hot 100 peaking at number 8. She beat out fellow nominees like Jon Bon Jovi’s “Not Running Anymore” from The movie Stand Up Guys, Taylor Swift’s “Safe And Sound” from The Hunger Games Soundtrack, and Keith Urban’s “For You” from Act Of Valor. Check out her acceptance speech below if you missed it.
