(Oct. 14, 2013 – New York, NY)  New York-based duo Timeflies reward their loyal fans today with the digital release of WARNING SIGNS, a new four-song EP on their label imprint, Forty8Fifty/Island.  In advance of the release, Timeflies will kick off their third major North American headlining tour, opening October 11th at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.  The seven week, 36-citytour, wraps up at Royal Oak Music Hall in Detroit on November 24th.  (Please see tour dates below.)

WARNING SIGNS marks Timeflies’ first officially released batch of new music in some 11 months, since their six-song EP, One Night (November 2012).  One Night (containing “Swoon”) debuted at #1 on the iTunes overall chart, and hit #2 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart.
The four songs on WARNING SIGNS are: “SMFWU,” “I Believe,” “Ride,” and the single, “I Choose U,” which broke into the Top 40 over the summer.  “We have spent the last year writing and producing this album,” Timeflies told Billboard.com, “using every spare moment we have to craft a project that we feel is truly taking our sound to the next level… [the EP] is a sign of things to come, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”
The “Ride” lyric video premiered October 8th on VEVO/YouTube (http://www.vevo.com/watch/timeflies/ride-lyric-video/USUV71302381)  .  The “I Choose U” video, posted in April, went into rotation at MTV, MTV Hits, mtvU, and Fuse, and Timeflies were named “MTV Artist To Watch” for 2013.  “I Choose U” has over 2.8 million YouTube views to date.In addition, Timeflies are  2013 Taco Bell’s Feed the Beat Campaign’s  Artist to Watch, Taco Bell’s breakthrough artist program.
Timeflies is living up to its status as “MTV Buzzworthy Breakthrough Artist” of 2012.  They have been praised as “musical masterminds” (Vanity Fair), “mix masters” (New York Post), and “the perfect addition to your music playlist” (Seventeen magazine), with MTV crowning them an “MTV Artist To Watch”  and “a musical force to be reckoned with.”
Timeflies were named “MTV Artist Of the Month” for June, and made their network television debut that month on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Summer festival performances included the Pepsi Summer Bash in Chicago in June, followed by Milwaukee Summerfest in July, and a return to Chicago for Lollapalooza in August.
Timeflies,  Cal and Rez began producing music while at college outside Boston, where they first played together in a band known as the Ride.  After forming Timeflies in 2010 and releasing their first half-dozen singles, their debut album arrived in 2011, The Scotch Tape (owing to Cal’s love of scotch).  A six-track sample-based mixtape titled Under The Influence was released in July 2012, followed four months later by the One Night EP.  ).  In addition to their non-stop flow of singles and videos, they have gained worldwide notoriety with Timeflies Tuesday – an ongoing series in which they stay connected with their followers across the web by releasing remixes, live covers, and freestyling over original beats.
