Timeflies “After Hours”

(May 7. 2014 – New York, NY)  The 3-month cross-country ‘Timeflies Tuesdays’campaign pays off for New York-based duo Timeflies as their debut album, AFTER HOURS (released April 29th on Forty8Fifty/Island Records) debuts inside the Soundscan Top 10 at #8!   The album chart debut was ignited by of Timeflies tracks, including“Swoon,” “Monsters,” the breakthrough “I Choose U,” and “All The Way”which was featured twice on Fox’s American Idol, on an NBC promo­tion campaign, and in Kevin Hart’s new movie About Last Night, which opened in February.

​ The ‘Timeflies Tuesdays’ campaign dovetailed with the “All The Way To NYC” cross-country promotional tour which culminated in a sold-out concert at Terminal 5 in New York City on release day, April 29th.  The Terminal 5 show, followed the next day by the MLB Fan Cave Concert Series Presented By Budweiser, marked the kickoff of a major springtime headlining college tour for Timeflies.  The Concert Series presented by Budweiser launches its 2014 season providing exclusive and unique concert opportunities. Throughout the past few seasons, the Concert Series has already featured top Universal Music Group artists including Avicii, American Authors, Neon Trees and many more.  Footage from the Timeflies performance plus an upcoming lineup can be found at

​At the same time, momentum is building behind AFTER HOURS and the unique all-star video of “All The Way.”  Among the Extreme Sports guest stars spotted on the clip (which is passing 1 million views on YouTube as of this writing) are surfer Anastasia Ashley, snowboarderMark Reininga, and Moto Cross ace Scotty Stephens.

AFTER HOURS continues the momentum that began in 2013, when Timeflies were named “MTV Artist To Watch” and kicked off a major North American headlining tour.  They issued their 4-song digital-only EP, Warning Signs, follow-up to their EP, One Night, whichdebuted at #1 on iTunes, and hit #2 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart.  Warning Signscontained the Top 40 hit, “I Choose U,” whose video (with over 4.3 million YouTube views to date) went into rotation at MTV, MTV Hits, mtvU, and Fuse.

​The Timeflies duo of Cal and Rez began producing music while at college outside Boston, where they first played together in a band known as the Ride.  After forming Timeflies in 2010 and releasing their first half-dozen singles, their debut album arrived in 2011, The Scotch Tape (owing to Cal’s love of scotch).  A six-track sample-based mixtape titled Under The Influence was released in July 2012, followed four months later by the One Night EP.
