The Irish Rock trio The Script continues to touch the hearts of millions with their story driven songs that blend the sounds of Pop, Rock, R&B, and Hip Hop all into one. The latest example of this comes with the release of their latest music video, “If You Could See Me Now.” The song is a soulful tune driven by hard hitting drums and a Hip Hop structure, it shows Script vocalists Danny and Marc each taking turns rapping different verses, telling stories of death/loss. As the song title suggests, each of them take time to rap about the loss of both of their fathers, and asks the question of what it would be like “if you could see me now.” The emotional song examines the question of what their parents may think of them today as successful musicians. The captivating song grabs you with some very quotable lyrics that bare the soul of the track. Some of these include lines like “I’m trying to make ya proud, for everything ya did, I hope you’re up there with God saying ‘that’s my kid’”, and “would you call me a saint or a sinner? Would you love me a loser or winner?”

This music video opens up with a parental advisory sign, due to some of the explicit lyrics, but it is important to note that despite that it is a song that can be related to by people in all walks of life. The group’s raw talent and understanding of how to continue to touch people with their music, is one of the reasons why we continue to be proud to call them Clizbeats featured artists to this day.
