The Script: A Pop Music Mainstay With “Nothing” ?

The Script "Nothing"

Irish Rockers The Script have release their second international single from their current album Science And Faith called “Nothing”.   Following their September release of the album’s lead single “For The First Time”, ‘Nothing” continues Science And Faith‘s running theme of personal reflection during hard  economic times both in Ireland and the world. It was written by Script band mates Danny O’Donoghue, and Marc  Sheehan along with the heads of their label Phonogenic Records, Steve Kipner and Andrew Frampton.  Charting as atop 20 hit in their home country of Ireland, “Nothing” served as the second of 4 singles that helped Science And Faith sell a combined total of 7 million records outside of the US.  Although it took them around 2 and 1/2 to break in the US with their self titled debut album, The quality of The Script’s music has enabled them to seamlessly flow from one album to another in a 3 year period without Americans even having time to miss them.  If “Nothing” gets received  in the US as well as every other single that came before it, the steady import of singles and albums is only going to grow.  Since there is a good likelihood for this to happen because these guys are a quality band, The Script could very well become a pop music mainstay  for quite some more time to come.  Take a listen to “Nothing” and see if you agree with our musical forecasting.
