THE ROYAL CONCEPT TO RELEASE NEW EP SMILE AUGUST 21

NEW YORK, NY (August 6, 2015) – THE ROYAL CONCEPT will release their new Smile EP[LAVA/Republic Records] on Friday, August 21 at iTunes, Google Play, Amazon MP3, and Spotify. A special pre-order is now available through PledgeMusic, including ways for fans to gain access to limited merch, an exclusive online concert, and more personalized items from the band.

To record Smile, the Swedish quartet— David Larson [vocals], Filip Bekic [guitar], Magnus Robert [bass], and Frans Povel [drums]—hit a Los Angeles studio earlier this year with producer Tony Hoffer [M83, Phoenix, Depeche Mode, The Kooks] behind the board. Now, the collection’s five tracks bristle with an unshakable energy and swaggering charm. First single“Fashion” straddles the lines between funk, indie, and pop, converging on an anthemic refrain.

THE ROYAL CONCEPT ignited an international buzz with their 2013 smash “D-D-Dance.” It soared to #2 on Hype Machine, as follow-up songs “Gimme Twice” and “World on Fire”landed at #3 on #1.
