(August 21, 2015 — New York, NY) — Swedish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Paul Rey releases his debut EP, Good As Hell, to all digital retailers today through Epic Records. It’s available HERE.
In addition, the 23-year-old pop trailblazer just premiered the music video for the EP’s title track and first single, “Good As Hell,” today on Idolator.
A slice of his self-proclaimed “Modern World Music,” the song effortlessly merges pop and rock with a simmering sense of hip-hop swagger and a massive chorus. It’s an infectious and irresistible introduction to this new talent, and the video shows him in action. He cruises the streets of the city, while belting out the verses and that robust hook.
“Good As Hell” is also poised to start heating up radio airwaves next week. Its impact date for Top 40 is Monday August 24, while it goes to Hot AC on Saturday 29.

Born in Sweden, Paul Rey fell in love with music at the age of 11 when he attended the country’s biggest music festival with his dad. Soon, he became inspired by the likes of The Beatles, Bob Marley, and Michael Jackson and started writing his own songs. Simultaneously, he immersed himself in hip-hop, sharpening his skills as a battle rapper. He’s played alongside Big Sean and Raekwon and even participated in Sweden’s The O-Zone Battles and Britain’s Don’t Flop. His indie debut Makin’ Moves received nominations for “Best Solo Artist of the Year” and “Best Newcomer of the Year” at Sweden’s Kingsize Gala. Now, he’s got Quincy Jones as a mentor and Epic Records as his label, and he’s ready for an unforgettable 2015.
