Susan Boyle Diagnosed With Asperger Syndrome
Susan Boyle, who is best known as the surprise mega vocalist from the 2009 season of Britain’s Got Talent has revealed to the world that she has Asperger Syndrome. The “I Dreamed A Dream” singer made the announcement exclusively through the UK Guardian this past weekend. She described the diagnosis as a relief, and feels that it will allow people to have a greater understanding of who she is.
Through the announcement Susan admits that Asperger Syndrome, which is a mild form of Autism has caused her to have communicative difficulties, and has made having relationships a challenge. She adds, “Now I have a clearer understanding of what’s wrong and I feel relieved and a bit more relaxed about myself.”
We’re happy she’s been able to find this resolution, and wish her all the best. Watch Susan’s now iconic X Factor UK performance of “I Dreamed A Dream” below. Enjoy!
