Sources Close To Demi Lovato Tell TMZ She Did Not OD On Heroin Despite Being Treated For Opioids

Earlier this afternoon, TMZ dominated the news cycle when they broke the story that singer/songwriter/former Disney Channel actress, Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital after a heroin overdose. Now as news is being reported that Lovato is “awake and responsive,” and “stable,” sources close to Lovato are telling TMZ that she did not overdose on heroin. Despite law enforcement telling TMZ that it was heroin, the source later told them that it was not heroin. That same source would not tell them what she did overdose on, however TMZ did report that Demi was given Narcan, which is used to treat the effects of opioids. Since news of her hospitalization broke, Demi Lovato’s July 26th show in Atlantic City, NJ has since been cancelled.
