Island Records’ Shawn Mendes, who continues to dominates charts around the world with“I Know What You Did Last Summer,” his RIAA platinum single with Camila Cabello of Fifth Harmony, and “Stitches” his 4x-platinum smash that spent two weeks at #1 on the UK singles chart – has kicked off the new year by selling-out all 38 dates of theShawn Mendes World Tour 2016 across Europe and North America in record time, within minutes of going on sale. Additional dates (including a second London Eventim Apollo show) and tickets were added in select markets due to the high demand, and the tour’s finale Air Canada center show has been announced to go on sale on February 13th, with fan presales starting today! Shawn will celebrate his sold-out tour with a return visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show on February 16^th.

The Shawn Mendes World Tour 2016 starts in Europe with 12 shows in April-May.  The tour arrives in North America with 26 dates starting on July 15^th at Mizner Amphitheater in Boca Raton, FL, through August 21^st in Toronto. For Shawn’s August 21^st homecoming date at Air Canada Center in Toronto, Fan Club and American Express® pre-sales started today, and regular on-sale begins this weekend. Shawn was nominated as Favorite New Artist for Nickelodeon’s 29^th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards.  In addition, Shawn picked up four nominations for Canada’s prestigious JUNO Awards, including Artist Of the Year, Album Of the Year, Pop Album Of the Year, and the Juno Fan Choice Award.  Previously, Shawn won the MTV EMA for Best New Artist; and the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist.
