SARA BAREILLES TO RELEASE LIMITED EDITION STAY 7-INCH ON RECORD STORE DAY, APRIL 21st
Los Angeles, CA – Songstress Sara Bareilles will release a limited edition 7-inch on Saturday, April 21st to commemorate Record Store Day. The 7-inch comes in advance of her Once Upon Another Time EP, out May 22nd, and includes the stand out track “Stay” from the EP and the exclusive track “Beautiful Girl.” All tracks were recorded in Nashville and produced by acclaimed singer/songwriter and fellow “Sing-Off” judge Ben Folds.
“I really wanted to record something that didn’t have to fit any existing musical mold that has been created for me. As an artist, I feel the need to continue to grow and evolve and this EP felt like a stepping stone for me to learn how to do that with confidence,” said Bareilles.
“Sara is the real thing – a producer’s dream,” says Folds. “She opens her mouth in front of a mic and you’re done. She’s a true musician. Without any performance gimmicks, affectations, associations, she connects intensely with her audience. She’s genuine, timeless and sick talented. I’m not saying she’s not weird. This chick is plain fucked up. I’m proud as hell of Sara. She’s one of our rare gems in modern pop music and she’s here to stay.”
