Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will be releasing her highly anticipated third studio album, The Blessed Unrest this summer through Epic Records. Recorded in Los Angeles and New York with producers including John O’Mahony (Coldplay, Metric) and Mark Endert (Fiona Apple, The Fray, Train), this album will continue to display Sara’s signature voice and stellar songwriting.
“I have never felt more open and more raw in my entire life. 2012 was a year of deconstruction for me personally,” said Bareilles. “I have been confronting some of my greatest fears in the last handful of months and have been amazed at how empowered I can feel when I muster up the courage to turn and growl back at those monsters under the bed. The songs on this album are a true reflection of everything I’ve come to experience in recent months and I’m going to celebrate that with the next most terrifying thing I can do…go back on the road…totally alone. Just me. And my piano. And maybe a guitar. And some whiskey. And some jokes. And my songs. I’m excited to share this next stage of my career with each and every one of my fans.”
The album’s first single, “Brave,” is currently available on iTunes. It was co-written by Sara with Jack Antonoff from the band fun.. She andJack talked about the working together in a recent webisode she posted on her VEVO channel. A lyric video for that was also posted on VEVO soon after that.
Bareilles is currently on an 18-city solo acoustic called the “Brave Enough” tour , which started on April 25th at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. and will go through May 23rd at the Highline Ballroom in New York. The tour will also hit other major US cities including Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles. Visit SaraBareilles.com for more info.
