Los Angeles (October 20, 2015) — Talenthouse, the leading open source creative platform, recently expanded to offer select partners their own white label solution. Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group, is among the first group of partners.
The Republic Records Creative Studio’, powered by Talenthouse, connects the label to emerging multi-discipline artistic talent across the world and drives original content creation to support marketing efforts across the roster.
“We’ve always respected Talenthouse’s forward-thinking approach and innovative platform. We’re in the content business, so partnering up made sense on many levels. Through the Republic Studio at Talenthouse, we have access to over 500,000 talented creative people around the world to open source beautiful, engaging artwork, remixes, short films and more for our entire roster of artists,” says Jim Roppo, EVP Marketing of Republic Records.
The platform hosts multiple ‘Creative Invites’ which provide film-makers, animators, fashion designers, artists, musicians and photographers with opportunities to create marketing/promotional assets in return for compensation and significant exposure of their work. In addition, the “Studio” provides engaging editorial with some of the world’s notable creative minds and gives readers a look at the “art behind the art.”
Recently launched in the Republic Records Creative Studio was an opportunity to create the official U.S. Tour poster for Florence + The Machine and Shazam, which garnered 621 on-brief submissions from all over the world. “I cried when I found out,” said Selected Artist, Emme Rose Brettle, from Toronto, Canada who is currently a part -time art student holding down two jobs. “I am going to create a calendar for 2017 to send to art directors and the cash reward will allow for me to do that. I have already been contacted for real work which is exciting!” the artist said.
Since 2009, Talenthouse has been creating life-changing opportunities for artists through collaboration with leading brands and icons. Emma Trant, CRO of Talenthouse, says “Our partnership with Republic Records perfectly aligns with the Talenthouse mission to support creatives and open doors to unique career opportunities and influential connections.”
U.K singer/songwriter/guitarist James Bay has also recently tapped into the Talenthouse film community. James has invited members of the global Talenthouse community to submit 1-2 minute videos that take the themes from his debut and turn them into narrative short films. Selected artists will have their short film screen at the BFI Future Film Festival in London in February and SXSW in March next year.
