REPUBLIC RECORDS AND AMC EXPAND WORLDWIDE MUSIC PARTNERSHIP

NEW YORK, NY – June 17, 2014 — REPUBLIC RECORDS and AMC announced today an expanded worldwide music partnership that includes soundtracks for the network’s 2014 new scripted series “TURN” and “Halt and Catch Fire.” The upcoming albums, for which Republic will exclusively handle the release and distribution, come on the heels of successful soundtrack releases for AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” television’s most watched cable series among Adults 18-49.
Most recently, REPUBLIC RECORDS and AMC’s partnership yielded another successful installment in an ongoing series of soundtracks for “The Walking Dead.” Just prior to the series’ season four finale, which set a new series finale record delivering 15.7 million viewers and 10.2 million adults 18-49, “The Walking Dead’s” latest musical companion became available on iTunes and debuted in the top 10 in over 10 countries on the international soundtrack album charts. In addition to the latest series soundtrack, REPUBLIC released an exclusive soundtrack bundled with all Blu-ray DVDs sold at Wal-Mart that included tracks by artists including The Lumineers, Phantogram, Godsmack, Colbie Caillat and more.
REPUBLIC RECORDS will soon unveil music for the series “TURN” which debuted Sunday, April 6th followed by the soundtrack album for “Halt & Catch Fire,” which premiered Sunday, June 1st, later this year. The “TURN” soundtrack will feature music by artists such as Joy Williams (The Civil Wars), Matt Berninger (The National), Jake Bugg, Gary Lightbody & John McDaid (Snow Patrol) and many other exciting prospects.
