Meir hours after the news of his death, Prince’s music has completely taken over the top of the digital charts in historic proportions. Five of his most iconic songs, “Purple Rain,” ”Little Red Corvette,” “When Doves Cry,” “Kiss,” and “Let’s Go Crazy” took the top five spots on the iTunes Top Songs chart. Four of his albums, The Very Best of Prince, Purple Rain, ‘The Hits / The B-Sides, and 1999 also quickly filled the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots on the album chart. Sign O’ the Times clocked in at number 6. TMZ first broke the news of the Singer’s death around 12:30 PM EST. His publicist later confirmed that he was found dead at his suburban Minneapolis home Thursday morning.
