Police Evaluate Birdman’s Ties To Alleged Lil Wayne Murder Plot And Book Young Thug On Drug and Weapons Charges

To watch how rapper Young Thug has rose to fame in the entertainment blogosphere has grown to be so unbelievable it’s like watching a gangsta rap crime drama brought to life as the  the latest chapter of what we’ve continuously called, the YMCMB Civil War. He’s trending across social media with explosive allegations that he, alleged gunman Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, and Cash Money Records CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams have attempted to kill Lil Wayne. According to documented reports, Winfrey, who is indicted as the shooter of Wayne’s tour bus, is also reportedly on record calling a phone owned by Birdman moments after the shooting incident. He then suspiciously drove to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where Wayne’s entourage stopped after the shooting,

As previously reported, this all ties together because of the fact that Wayne is suing Birdman to get out of his long time contract with Cash Money Records.  No formal charges have been filed against Birdman at this point, but, according to the indictment, police are looking closely at his ties with Winfrey, and Young Thug, who Winfrey manages. While the authorities sort out said charges, all one needs to do is read the hip hop blogs to see this pattern of fishy behavior for themselves .

For example, according to several reports, Wayne’s dispute with Cash Money grew, at the same pace as Birdman’s association with Young Thug.YT was essentially taunting Lil Wayne in the very calculated way of naming his latest mixtape “Tha Barter 6″, as a direct nod to Wayne’s lead gripe with Cash Money, the delayed release of the 5^th installment of  his well known Tha Carter album series, Tha Carter V.

Coincidence or not, the fishy behavior continued even still when that Barter 6 mixtape was released the same month as the tour bus shooting that has now brought so much heat down on everyone involved.  In fact, after looking at everything going on, one thing is for sure; Young Thug isn’t shy about the criminal activity. In addition to this seemingly large enough controversy, he has also made headlines for “terroristic threats” against a mall security officer, and now the breaking news of a felony weapons and drug charges after a warrant was issued to search his home in in Sandy Springs yesterday. Following a raid of Thug’s home in Sandy Springs, outside Atlanta. TMZ  learned exclusive details  cops issued the following arrest warrants after the search:

– felony cocaine possession

– felony marijuana possession

– 3 counts felony gun possession

Despite the suspicious association, and the obvious criminal behavior, as of now , both Young Thug  and Birdman have not been formally charged with anything related to the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus. However, based on reporting about the actual indictment language, police are more than aware of the two music star’s association with the shooter, and don’t seem to be shy about evaluating what that mean to the case.  Naturally, if the authorities do find that there is more to this closely tied relationship, it could  have a huge impact on Birdman and the company he built into one of the most influential hip hop labels of a generation.
