We would like to take a moment to send our wishes of good health out to American Idol champion Philip Phillips.  Reports recently broke that the frequently ill Idol contestant’s condition was much worse than what was originally thought. The singer had to undergo a 6 hour surgery for complications related to having “massive kidney stones”.   Reports indicate that Phillips waited too long to get the needed surgery.  He had a stent placed in his kidney to aid him with his physical troubles while  he finished up competing in American Idol.  As a result of the demands of his recent lifestyle the stent was left in his body much longer then anticipated and became embedded in his body.  The surgery has since been done and it turned out to be a complete success.  He is currently recovering in the Malibu mansion of a higher up at Idol.

Philip expects to be recovered by July 6th.  Conveniently, this would be just in time for him to participate in the American Idol summer tour that kicks off in Detroit.  Phillip says, “If I can sing with all those kidney stones in me, I can make the first date.”
