Paula Patton Files For Divorce From Robin Thicke

Ever since Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced their separation in February, Robin has done everything he can think of to try and “Get Her Back.” He even named his seventh studio album after her. That album, Paula featured songs inspired by his estranged wife, and even chronicled their break up. Unfortunately, despite being a very well produced album with some of Robin’s most personal feelings on record, it is also considered by many to be one of the biggest commercial flops of 2014.
However, since Paula has been the subject of many of Robin’s songs, many of his fans were holding out hope that the two high school sweethearts would one day get back together. One of the biggest threads of hope was the fact that despite being separated, no one ever actually filed for divorce. Burt, that has now changed. TMZ has now learned that Paula Patton has filed for divorce from Robin today. Paula cites irreconcilable differences. She wants joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son Julian. Robin and Paula have been married for 9 years, and were in a relationship for over 20 years. The couple first met in 1991 at an under-21 hip-hop club, “Balistyx” in Los Angeles, when he asked her to dance. The story of their romance is told on Robin’s song “For The Rest Of My Life”, from his hit album, Blurred Lines. We at Clizbeats wish Robin, Paula, and their family nothing but the best in this difficult time.
