Nicki Minaj Apologizes For Nazi Themed Music Video

Nicki Minaj Featuring Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne “Only” (Lyric Video)

Yesterday one of the biggest stories in the music world came from Young Money/Cash Money rapper, Nicki Minaj released a very controversial lyric video for her latest song “Only” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown. In the animated video, motion comic styled versions of Nicki, Drake, Wayne and Chris are seen dressed in what can be described as Nazi related imagery. In that imagery, Chris Brown can even be seen in a full-blown Nazi uniform with the Swastika modified    to be the YMCMB logo (“Young Money Cash Money Billionares”) Since the video hit the web via Vevo and YouTube on this past Friday. It has received some well-deserved wide spread criticism for being offensive to many viewers. Now that the video has been seen over one million times, Nicki has taken responsibility for the images, and apologized via her Twitter account. In her tweets that can be seen below, Nicki says she takes “full responsibility”, and that she did not come up with the concept and “I’d never condone Nazism in my art.” She went on to say that the person who over saw the making of the video who is one of her best friends is Jewish.
