Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown artist, Drake is showing his multiple talents on his second single from his forthcoming, Thank Me Later debut. Rather than rapping rhymes on this song, he is taking a page out of Kanye West’s book and singing on the new song, “Find Your Love.” Kanye served as more than inspiration for the song, Drake teamed with Kanye and his long time collaborator, Jeff Bhasker to actually co-write and produce the track. This is after Kanye and Drake had already collaborated on “Forever” along with Lil’ Wayne & Eminem. When asked about West, Drake had this to say to MTV News about his influence on the music
“Before I ever got the chance to meet him, Kanye West shaped a lot of what I do, as far as music goes, We always, always, always took the time to listen to Kanye’s music and appreciate it beyond. We searched the samples and find out where his inspiration came from, because he has one of the best ears in music, period. He knows how to recognize great music that’s not his. He knows how to utilize great sounds and great music. So before I met him, I had the utmost respect for Kanye West. I’d even go as far as to say he’s the most influential person, as far as a musician, that I’d ever had in my life.”
