British singer/song writer, Neon Hitch began getting the spotlight recently as the guest performer on Gym Class Heroes hit single “Ass Back Home.” Now she is getting ready to step out on her own with her sexy new single, “F*** U Betta” (“Love U Betta as edited). Hitch’s first single was released by Reprise/Warner Bros. Records after she was signed to the label by WB’s Senior Vice President of A&R Kara DioGuardi. (Best known as a former American Idol judge and hit song writer) Kara became exited about Hitch after she was discovered by platinum hit producer, Benny Blanco. She was by discovered by Blanco on Myspace, from that point on Blanco put her in the right places at the right time for her to collaborate on various projects he was involved in.

Hitch was a co-writer on the Ke$ha’s hit single, “Blah, Blah Blah”, produced by Blanco and featuring Electro Pop duo, 3OH!3. Hitch also appeared along side the duo as a featured artist on their song “Follow Me Down”, featured on the soundtrack to Disney’s 2010 film, Alice In Wonderland. Now Benny Blanco and Hitch are teaming up for her forthcoming debut album, Beg Borrow And Steal. Benny Blanco is the main producer of the project that is turning out to be a collection that deploy Neon’s soulful, jazz-inflected vocals mixed into a backdrop of eclectic pop melodies and hip-hop tinged beats. Warner Bros. is also reporting that the album will feature collaborations with the likes of Imogen Heap, Bruno Mars and Mike Posner.

The album’s first video and single, “Love U Betta” is also a big plus to get her a lot of buzz. The song shows her ability to sing as well as her ability to be seductive and just down right desirable. The song’s theme is overtly sexual, but its song structure is catchy enough to help give the song a unique universal appeal. When the radio version turned “F*** U Betta” to “Love U Betta”, it helped the song be flirtatious, but have the accessibility to be played at both strip clubs and school dances. The song’s accompanying video is just as universally appealing. Neon Hitch follows in the footsteps on great Pop star eye candy like Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera, to show her ability be the sexy bad girl of this generation. While the song walks the line of flirting and being sexual with the lyrics, the video however is what sends its presentation over the top. The concept of the video is simple, but very effective.  In the video she grabs your attention from start to finish, as she performs a detailed and well edited chair dance on video. Even though Neon is earning her reputation as a developing song writer, it is nice that her new song and video reminds everyone why teenage boys always loved watching MTV videos. What a performance Neon! Warner Bros. first premiered the music video appropriately on most MTV platforms, and then uploaded it to YouTube on March 7th. If you have not yet seen it fellas, it is without a doubt a must see.
