Miguel Continues To Make Soundtrack Hits With “R.A.N.” From Columbia Pictures’ “Superfly”

In case you missed it, Los Angeles R&B singer/songwriter, Miguel continues his recent work with movie soundtracks by releasing the music video for “R.A.N.”, one of our favorite songs from the 2018 remake of Superfly. Columbia Pictures released the Director X film to theatres on June 13, 2018, while Miguel’s video for the Future led soundtrack  was first published to YouTube on June 15th.It serves as the second single for the Epic Records released Soundtrack, following the May 4thpromotional release of “No Shame” by Future featuring PartyNextdoor. Miguel’s “R.A.N.” was written and produced by Miguel and Rick Nowels. Nowels is best known for his frequent collaborations with Stevie Nicks, Belinda Carlisle, Colbie Caillat and Lana Del Rey.

Prior to the release of “R.A.N.” Miguel had appeared on the soundtrack to the Disney/Pixar film, Coco. His contribution to that film was a Pop performance of the Kristen Anderson-Lopez/Rober Lopez written song, “Remember Me” with Natalia Lafourcade. “Remember Me” won the Oscar for Best Original Song at The 2018 Academy Awards where Miguel performed “Remember Me” with Gael Garcia Bernal & Natalia LaFourcade.
