MEGHAN TRAINOR SCORES FIRST EVER #1 BILLBOARD HOT 100 HIT WITH DEBUT SMASH “ALL ABOUT THAT BASS”

Meghan Trainor has officially conquered the BillboardHot 100 with her platinum-selling, debut-smash “All About That Bass”. The single has risen to #1 on the chart, while reaching the Top 5 at Top 40 radio this week.  Meghan’s rise to #1 marks the second debut #1 by a female lead artist this year, following Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.” This achievement comes in tandem with this week’s release of Meghan’s anxiously awaited debut EP, TITLE (Epic Records).

Listeners all over the world are “All About That Bass” too. In addition to reaching #1 on the iTunes Overall Top Songs chart, Spotify, Shazam, Amazon MP3, and Google Play stateside and garnering over 56 million-plus video views on YouTube/VEVO.  “All About That Bass” continues to heat up around the globe as it transforms into a veritable cultural phenomenon.  The track has climbed to #1 on iTunes in a total of 25 countries, while occupying the Top 10 in 68 markets and landing at #2 on both the Worldwide Shazam chart and Global Spotify chart—with 32 million streams.  Meghan makes her first international promotion trip this week, traveling to Australia where “All About That Bass” has spent 3-weeks at #1 on the ARIA singles chart.   Meghan will make her Australian TV debut on  The X Factor Australia next Monday.
