MARIAN HILL PREMIERE “I WANT YOU” MUSIC VIDEO
Today, critically acclaimed Philadelphia alternative pop electronic duo MARIAN HILL—Jeremy Lloyd [production/songwriting] and Samantha Gongol [vocals/songwriting]—uncover the music video for their latest single “I Want You.” Watch it on SPIN! The song is available on their full-length debut, ACT ONE [Republic Records], available now.
The new visual was directed and choreographed by renowned choreographer Ian Eastwood [Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino] and impressively captured in one single continuous shot at the YouTube Space N.Y. this past August. The pair perform the song flanked by eight dancers gracefully moving around them to the production’s jazz-y bob and bounce. It’s an entrancing and engaging clip evocative of their inimitable chemistry and style. Check out “I Want You” now. The track has become a stand out from ACT ONE, racking up over 3.7 million Spotify streams to date.
This past June, Marian Hill also participated in YouTube’s artist development program, Music Foundry, at the YouTube Space L.A. This two-day immersive experience included creating music content for both “I Want You” and “Down”.
MARIAN HILL close out their North American headline tour this Friday October 14 with a sold out show at Union Transfer in Philadelphia, PA. Next up, they head to Europe. The full itinerary can be found below.
Their new material continues to catch critics and tastemakers off guard. Billboard recently described the group as “your new favorite act to namedrop,” while Nylon wrote, “This is what the future of pop sounds like.”
Since the release of their 2015 Sway EP, MARIAN HILL have solidified themselves as fan and tastemaker favorites. To date, Spotify streams exceed 62 million, and Vine Loops reach 65 million.
