If you have not heard already, the impossible did indeed happen when *N Sync reunited last night at the 2013 Video Music Awards. Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass shared a stage for the first time in 10 years during Justin Timberlake’s medley of nearly every one of his, greatest hits. *N Sync was included in the medley to acknowledge and honor Justin’s former band mates as a significant part of Justin’s life and career, prior to him being presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. During the performance that has now gone down in history as the longest in VMA history, *N Sync performed a medly combo of their songs “Girlfriend” (2002) and “Bye Bye Bye” (2000). After the career spanning performance, JT’s buddy Jimmy Fallon presented him with the Vanguard Award. After explaining how he did not deserve an award like it, he then went on to say how he was going to share it with his *N Sync band mates, and thanked them as well.

From that point Lance Bass, and Justin Timberlake’s social media outlets helped share the experience online as the guys could finally officially reveal the not so well kept secret. The guys became the talk of the night. The viewers must have loved seeing thems together again too because Justin Timberlake is now is a part of 4 of the albums on the digital albums chart over night. (The 20/20 Experience, The 20/20 Experience 2 Of 2 (Pre-Order), *N Sync Greatest Hits, and Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. )The fan’s response was probably so huge, because the group were very cleverly dropping some not so sudle hints towards the reunion in the media all last week. It all started on Tuesday when The New York Post reported the reunion, crediting a source close to the group as the source. Lance Bass then began talking about the rumors on his “Dirty Pop” Sirius XM radio show. Soon after that,Ryan Seacrest and Ian Drew from US weekly confirmed not only a reunion, but a performance as well, Finally despite Joey Fatone’s denial about the reunion to TMZ as he was arriving in New York on Friday Night, Joey’s father confirmed the reunion exclusively to Radar Online. After that the cat was out of the bag, and there was no sense in hiding it anymore. As a result, the guys made more headlines when they launched the official @NSYNC Twitter account on Saturday. With one tweet “Mic check, mic check one.. two… is this thing on?!”, Twitter exploded with anticipation. The @NSYNC account now has over two hundred thousand followers, with the group only following 23 peaople. Will there ever be anything more to come from the guys?
