Linkin Park Returns With New Album And Single

We first heard whispers of rumors around Linkin Park’s new fourth album when the band recorded the theme for the first DreamWorks Transformers film, “New Divide” in 2008. Now two years later that project has finally arrived. The album is A Thousand Suns and it will be released on September 14th, via Warner Bros. Records. As promised to many avid music fans, the album will be produced by Linkin Park rapper/front-manm Mike Schinoda and acclaimed music producer of nearly all types, Rick Rubin. The first single is called ” The Catalyst ” and it wasted no time hitting it big, debuting at number one on the Modern Rock Chart with a 12. million audiance in its first week.
A lot of the success of the song is attributed to the band’s cutting edge contest called “Linkin Park” Featuring You.” This contest was started last month when the band serviced files for the single allowing fans to remix and feature themselves on the song. The winner would be tagged as official and added as a part of the album. The winner of this contest was a remixer simply named was “NoBraiN”.
