What do Lil Wayne and Elvis Presley have in common?  Well, Billboard.com is reporting that the two completely different artists now share the record for for the most Hot 100 appearances by solo male artists since the charts debut with a grand total of 108 times.   Oddly enough, this stat gets weirder by the fact that the two legends of completely natures are beat out the cast of the Fox show Glee, which, as a group appear on the chart a total of 204 times.  Some of the legends that Presley and Wayne do definitively beat include, James Brown, Ray Charles, and Elton John.

Elvis’ last appearance on the chart was because of a remix done by  Britush House Music DJ, Paul Oakenfold ‘s  remix of his song, “Rubberneckin'”. “Rubberneckin was released 26 years after his death in 2003 as part of his posthumous 2nd To None abum.

Of Wayne’s 108 appearances, 42 were with him listed as a featured act on someone else’s song.  Of those 108 times however, he was able to manage two top notch number 1 tracks.  The two songs were “Lolly 2008’s “Lollipop”, featuring Static Major,  and 2009’s “Down,” by Jay Sean.  He was able to achieve the record thanks to his most recent chart appearance on “No Worries” featuring Detail.  “No Worries rose on the charts this week from 96 to 58.  It is part of his I am Not a Human Being II album.  Wanna here “No Worries”? check it, and all other related media from this post below.
