Chart-topping rapper Lil Dicky has been hand-picked by XXL for their coveted 2016 Freshman Class. As part of the “New Wave” of hip-hop, Lil Dicky joins this year’s most promising stars including Anderson .Paak, 21 Savage, Kodak Black, Lil Uzi Vert, Dave East, Denzel Curry, Desiigner, G Herbo and fan-choice, Lil Yachty.

Over the next six weeks, XXL will be releasing an assortment of content from the members of the ninth annual Freshman Class including freestyles, cyphers, solo and group interviews, so that fans can get to know the Freshmen. The actual Freshman issue of XXL magazine will hit stands on Tues., June 28, the same day as the XXL Freshman Show at New York City’s PlayStation Theater. Tickets are on sale now here. The Los Angeles XXL Freshman Show will be on Mon., July 25 and a few other shows will be announced at a later date.

Lil Dicky recently dropped the new video for his next single “Molly”(view here) featuring Brendon Urie from Panic at the Disco. The video, directed by James Lees (Rachel Platen’s “Fight Song,” One Republic’s “Counting Stars,” Two Door Cinema Club’s “Undercover Martyn”) and produced by Danielle Hinde (Doomsday Entertainment), follows David Burd, aka Lil Dicky, as he attends a wedding, only to witness the girl of his dreams marry another man. Brendon Urie makes a guest appearance as the wedding singer for the festivities.

“Molly” comes from Lil Dicky’s acclaimed album ‘Professional Rapper’ (Commission Records/David Burd Music/ADA), which spawned the RIAA-certified Gold hit, “$ave Dat Money,” featuring Fetty Wap and Rich Homie Quan. The video for “$ave Dat Money” – named “the song of our generation” by BuzzFeed – has garnered nearly 44 million views and was dubbed by XXL as “one of the most creative videos you’ll ever see.”

‘Professional Rapper’ is available now on iTunes.
