Lady Gaga has released a short film(music video) for her latest single “G.U.Y”(“Girl Under You”), off her third studio album, Artpop. The video is consistent with her previous works, full of the pop queens artistic views on pop culture.

In the artistic vision that was directed by Gaga herself, the nearly 12 minute music video manages to mix a number of modern references of culture to seemingly unrelated subjects, an example being Greek mythology. These references are represented through a slew of celebrity cameos, from a giant floating Andy Cohen head in the sky, to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

But just like with her previous works, there is an underlying message hidden beneath the vivid costumes and colors. In an interview with Access Hollywood’s Johnny Weir, Gaga stated, “The intention of the video was to create something that was a true sort of road map of my journey, being an artist, a pop singer, a creative person.”

Regardless of your views on Lady Gaga’s very sensational interpretation of art, there’s no denying that she is a n artist in the truest sense of the word. If you don’t take my word for it then check it out below and tell us what you think. Either way I have a feeling that you’ll have a reaction.
