Keri Hilson Plays Dress Up In “Pretty Girl Rock” Video
One of our very early Clizbeats featured artists, Keri Hilson has a very creative video for her new song, “Pretty Girl Rock.” This is a must see because of its really creative apporach! In the video it shows Hilson portraying an array of historic black women. She takes on the roles of Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandridge, Diana Ross as a member of The Supremes, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, and T-Boz as a member of TLC.
The song is the second single from Keri’s forthcoming album No Boys Allowed from Mosley Music Group/Zone 4/Interscope Records. The song, produced by Ne-Yo and Chuck Harmoney is about women coming together to celebrate their inner beauty with a fun song to dance to
Keri says, “It’s not meant to be a vain record. I want everybody to feel like they can do the Pretty Girl Rock. It’s like the hair brush in the mirror, don’t hate me cause I’m beautiful, cause you are. Everybody is beautiful. I want everyone to be able to sing that record.”
Expect Keri’s album, No Boys Allowed to hit stores on December 21stm until then enjoy the video! Great job Keri! This is very impressive!
