The countdown to Justin Bieber’s Believe release has officially begun! Island Def Jam is kicking off the “Complete My Album”(CMA) promotional campaign with ITunes for the album. Starting today ITunes will allow fans to download a new song from the album track list for the next 3 weeks. The single releases will then of course be followed by the release of the full album on June 19th. Fans who already bought tracks connected to Believe will then be able to purchase the remaining songs for a lower price.
The 3 promotional singles that are being released start today with the “Die In Your Arms”. That will be followed by “All Around The World” featuring Ludacris on June 5th, and finally “As Long As You Love Me” featuring Big Sean on June 12th. The first of these songs, “Die In Your Arms” is a Doo-Wop inspired soulful song that sounds like it could come from the collection fo someone like Bruno Mars.
Even though Bruno has had a hand in producing many different tracks that sound like this one, this one is actually produced by superstar producer, Rodney Jerkins and his team of Dennis Aganee Jenkins, Theodore Feldman, and Travis Sayles. For those of you who think it may sound like something you have heard before, that is because it contains a sample from Michael Jackson’s 1972 song, “We’ve Got A Good Thing Going.” (The official song writing credits for “Die In Your Arms” are as follows Justin Bieber, Rodney Jerkins, Dennis Jenkins, Travis Sayles, Thomas Lumpkins, Kelly Lumpkins, Berry Gordy, Alphonso Mizell, Frederick J. Perren, Deke Richards & Herb RooneyIt
)It was one of eight tracks that were premiered during Justin’s Believe listening party in April. Justin then officially announced the single’s upcoming release via Twitter on May 24th. “Die In Your Arms” will be the official second single connected to Believe. It is the follow up to JB’s current smash hit, “Boyfriend”
