Justin Bieber Boosts Canadian Hit “Call Me Maybe” By Signing Carly Rae Jepsen

Justin Bieber has recently  taken to the internet to once again focus a massive amount of attention to a song that he wants to share with the world.  This time however, the song that he’s directing literally millions of fans to listen to isn’t even his.  This time it is the it is the musc of Canada’s freshest   Pop star import  Carly Rae Jepsen.  Justin revealed that he the singer to a record deal in a specially recorded message for Canadian music TV Network MuchMusic’s “New Music Now” that is quoted below.

“When I was in Canada, I heard a song on the radio called ‘Call Me Maybe,’ and I thought it was a smash.” Bieber continued, “So I started doing my research and stuff and found out who it was. Her name is Carly Rae Jepsen and I want everyone to know we signed her so everyone can check her out. She’s gonna blow up,”.

“Blow up” may be a bit of an understatement. Over Presidents day weekend Bieber, his girlfriend Pop star,  Selena Gomez, and friends released a home made lip sync video to “Call Me Baby” via twitter and other social media  collecting her song several millions of plays in a matter of hours this past weekend.  The video was made up of home movie footage from what looks to be a super fun party that took place over Grammy weekend.  The home movie features Bieber, Gomez, actress/singer Ashley  Tisdale, and boy band Big Time Rush. It is truly an awesome video.

In other Bieber related news, Justin continues to hit the studio to work on music that actually features him.  Reports indicate that he recently teamed up with “Like A G6” hit makers, Fa r East Movement for af new yet to be named Far East Movement project.  Producer Red One talked to MTV News about producing the track.

“I did a few songs with Far East Movement, and one of the songs… to me, it’s a smash. And Justin sang the chorus. It’s a really good song, and I think people are gonna dance like crazy to it. Red One then added that Bieber is “very positive and he’s an amazing singer… I think he’s becoming a man with his voice. ”

Red One is currently expanding on that  “Positive” working experience by trying to find tracks for Justin’sBelieve album.  “We’re trying to figure out some smashes together for his album.”

Bieber really seems to be on a role with all of this new activity. Ryanseacrest.com is reporting that  when Justin says “We signed her”, he’s referring to making Carly Rae Jepsen the latest artist to sign to School Boy Records.  Clizbeats.com visitor may remember School Boy as the imprint label brand founded by Bieber manager Scooter Braun that also represents “I Love College” rapper Asher Roth.  Does Justin now have an executive stake in the label now as well?
