Jay & Nicki Party Like its 2012
Ever since we met Jay Sean has been one of our favorite Clizbeats featured artists to interview. The dude is just genuinely excited about everything he does, and approaches it with a passion and intelligence that is nothing short of inspirational. This drive to do well always added a sense of musical electricity that always makes his music rise to the top of everything else going on in the biz. That’s exactly what happened in one of the recent Clizbeats music news meetings. The song creating this internal office frenzy is called “2012..” ” 2012″ borrows from the mion calendar’s prediction of the arrival of what some claim to be the end of the world, and Jay Sean borrows from the party like it’s the end of the world concept undeniably comparable to Prince’s “1999″ factor that proved to be nothing short of infectious.
2009 marked the year that Jay came to the states with his US debut All Or Nothing, lead by smash single “Down.” Now a year later, and with platinum success achieved Americans are completely in love with his music. Being the opportunist that he is, Jay is ready to return the favor and keep up all the fantastic momentum
“Longevity trumps everything. America has only heard one album.” “I’m so new to America. I’ve got so much more to show them, so much more to give them.”
Jay plans to achieve this longevity with the release of his second American album Freeze Time, and of course “2012 ((It Ain’t The End)” featuring Nicki Manaj. It’s too early to say wether or not lightning will strike twice to the level of “Down” success, but he’s sure off to a great start “2012″ has been serviced as the top most added song to Rhythmic radio across the country. While we wait to see if he’ll capture the same hit making that was found in “Down,” He already has returned the favor to label mate Nicki Manaj. Also serviced to radio this week was yet another “Your Love” remix, this time featuring Jay Sean, surely hitting rotation as well.
Check out the two hits. See if you dig it!
